1. JanIsDeMan
Jan Is De Man (Jan Is The Man / Jan Heinsbroek) born and raised in Utrecht, is a master at creating murals that tell stories. His works are often interactive and invite passersby to participate in his art. One of his most famous creations is the “Bookcase”, a gigantic mural that looks like a bookcase full of books chosen by local residents. This work of art symbolizes the diversity and connectedness of the community. Jan's creative vision and involvement in local projects make him a true ambassador of Utrecht street art.

2. De Strakke Hand / The Tight Hand
De Strakke Hand is not a single artist, but a collective of talented painters who focus on large-scale murals. Led by founder Gino Hoiting, this team is known for their precise and impressive works of art that breathe new life into the city. An iconic project of theirs is the enormous painting in Caravaggio style, “The Flute Player” (1621) by the Dutch painter Abraham Bloemaert. Strakke Hand has a lasting impact on urban landscapes and continues to push the boundaries of street art.

3. De Verfdokter / The Paint Doctor
David Louf, better known as The Paint Doctor, is an artist who sees walls as his canvas and paint as his medicine (paint against pain). His works are often a commentary on social issues and have a powerful message. One of his impressive pieces in Utrecht shows a train coming straight out of the wall towards the passer-by, painted in the area where all the rolling stock used to be maintained at Werkspoor (defunct company). De Verfdokter's ability to combine emotion and meaning with visual beauty makes his works unforgettable and profound.
